Overview
The Coca-Cola Uplift campaign is centered around the theme of creating "uplifting" experiences, showing how a simple act involving a chilled bottle of Coke can bring people closer together. This TVC, featuring brand ambassador Swastima Khadka, unfolds in a romantic and playful lakeside setting designed to capture the essence of summer in Pokhara.
Synopsis
Set on a sunny day beside a serene lake in Pokhara, the commercial opens with Swastima Khadka and her date sitting together, enjoying the view. Swastima, visibly bothered by the heat, wipes the sweat from her brow. Noticing her discomfort, the boy gets up, buys a cold bottle of Coca-Cola from a nearby stand, and cleverly adds two straws, offering to share it. Swastima, with a playful smile, removes one straw and then the other, choosing instead to drink straight from the bottle. The boy is initially surprised and disappointed, but his spirits lift when Swastima takes a few refreshing gulps and then offers the bottle to him. The two share a laugh, and the scene closes with another Coke bottle between them, as both of their hands reach for it simultaneously, symbolizing the joy and connection sparked by the drink.
Creative Approach
Setting & Location: The picturesque lake and mountainous background in Pokhara provide a scenic, natural vibe that enhances the emotional appeal of the commercial. A custom Coca-Cola stand was created to blend seamlessly with the setting and serve as a key focal point.
Camera & Lighting: The use of natural daylight emphasized the bright and refreshing atmosphere of the day. The camera movements were kept steady and minimal, focusing on the characters' playful interactions and authentic expressions.
Wardrobe & Styling: Swastima wore a red tank top, matching Coca-Cola’s brand colors, paired with casual blue jeans. The male lead's attire was equally summery and laid-back, reinforcing the lighthearted theme.

Edited the footage to maintain a smooth and engaging pace, focusing on key moments like the playful straw removal and the shared sips. The edit emphasized the humor and warmth of the interactions, enhancing the campaign's uplifting and joyful tone.

I oversaw all aspects of the production, ensuring seamless coordination between the creative and logistical elements. I managed the budget efficiently, balancing the needs for a custom-built Coca-Cola stand and a picturesque lakeside setting in Pokhara. I handled scheduling and coordinated with the cast and crew, including brand ambassador Swastima Khadka, to ensure that the shoot ran smoothly and within the designated timeframe. Additionally, I maintained clear communication with Coca-Cola’s marketing team to align the creative vision with brand expectations and ensure that every detail—from wardrobe to props—was meticulously planned to reflect Coca-Cola’s vibrant and uplifting theme. My role also involved problem-solving on set, managing any challenges that arose, and making sure the final product captured the playful and romantic essence envisioned for the campaign.
