Synopsis
The TVC begins with music producer Rohit Shakya in his studio, feeling uninspired and toying with his keyboard to find a melody. Suddenly, inspiration strikes, and he starts an Instagram Live session to share his creation. This sparks a ripple effect, with artists across the city receiving notifications and joining in. Swoopna Suman and Trishala Gurung, sitting in a café, start humming along. Kiran Nepali, a renowned sarangi player, adds a soulful layer of sarangi. Another musician contributes a flute melody, enriching the composition. The energy builds as Ishan from The Elements, along with Kobid Bajra, joins in, adding vocal layers and rhythmic elements. Each artist’s contribution seamlessly integrates, culminating in a vibrant and powerful musical piece that embodies the spirit of collaboration and creativity.

Concept Developer
I developed the concept to highlight the spontaneity and interconnectedness of modern music creation. The idea was to use the familiar act of going live on social media to symbolize how technology can bring artists together, even from different locations. Each artist’s involvement was carefully integrated to showcase their unique style while contributing to a cohesive musical experience.

Directed the TVC to capture the energy and authenticity of each artist’s contribution. I worked closely with the musicians to ensure their performances felt genuine and engaging, guiding them to interact naturally with the music and each other. The direction emphasized the seamless transitions from one artist to the next, using dynamic camera movements to maintain a sense of fluidity and connection. Collaboration with the production designer was essential to create visually appealing environments that reflected the artists' individual styles.

The shots were designed to highlight each artist’s expressions and instruments, using a mix of close-ups and wide shots to capture both the intimacy and the grandeur of the collaboration. The lighting setups in each location were carefully chosen to reflect the mood and enhance the visual storytelling.
As the cinematographer, I focused on creating a visually cohesive and vibrant look that matched the energy of the music. The shots were designed to highlight each artist’s expressions and instruments, using a mix of close-ups and wide shots to capture both the intimacy and the grandeur of the collaboration.
